- Record the active build and each custom direction assignment.
- Close the editor and test one direction at a time.
- Compare the observed action with the saved assignment, then verify after reopening the menu.
Use the correct move list
Up and down offer BTB Spam, Curry, and D Book plus OFF. Left and right offer B Break, Escape, and Momentum plus OFF. Record the actual choice rather than a nickname that could refer to another direction or another script.
Separate saving from animation
If the menu reopens with the wrong choice, investigate the build and save process. If the right choice is stored but the game shows a different animation, record the player’s game-side setup and the input sequence. These are different findings and need different follow-up checks.
Keep a layout you can reproduce
A four-row note is enough to preserve the intended layout outside the device. Include which shot you use after each move if transitions are part of the test. Rift’s custom editor and saved builds make the layout configurable, while the test record keeps it understandable.
