Start smaller than five-way guessing
Testing every speed while changing your release cue produces a noisy result. Begin with a specific question about two nearby choices. Keep physical Square/X as the input, and avoid mixing in the normal-shot shortcut or timed Auto Green.
Balance the order
Try the original choice, then the alternative, then the original again. That can reveal whether practice or session changes are influencing the comparison. Keep counts and observations; do not decide from only the single best-looking attempt in each block.
