The short answer
Use the same moving Button Rhythm setup and change only the selected Turbo Shots mode. Record the trigger, direction, and release so the two attempts are comparable.

- Choose a fixed player, animation setup, and moving attempt.
- Record a labeled Hop Jumper block.
- Record a labeled Turbo Fade block with the same relevant inputs.
Know what the source changes
Hop Jumper keeps the normal rhythm path with turbo available. Turbo Fade uses the reversed path while moving. The game-side animation can still depend on the player and situation, so record those details rather than assuming the mode name alone describes every outcome.
Keep the input sequence visible
Show when R2/RT is held, how the left stick is moved, and when physical Square/X is released. Avoid mixing the normal-shot shortcut into one block and Button Rhythm into the other. If a trial uses the wrong input, label it instead of silently dropping it.
Choose the useful conclusion
The first conclusion should be whether each mode produced the intended control path. A preference for one shot style is separate from a measured success advantage. Keep any shot counts in separate labeled samples, and do not generalize a short comparison to every build or patch.
