The short answer
Compare a normal moving Button Rhythm attempt with a deliberate turbo-shot attempt. Rift’s source gives selected Hop Jumper or Turbo Fade behavior priority in that rhythm-shot situation.

- Record Button Rhythm, Instant Quickstop, and Turbo Shots settings.
- Test the same moving attempt with Turbo Shots OFF.
- Select the intended special mode and repeat with the documented R2/RT input.
State the expected difference
The question is whether the selected special shot changes the route, not whether every attempt stops identically. Keep the movement and physical shot input consistent. If you also change the jumper or release cue, the result no longer isolates the mode choice.
Capture the beginning of the attempt
Include the menu choice and trigger state before the shot. A clip that starts after the animation has already begun cannot show which path was requested. Record whether the attempt used physical Button Rhythm or the separate normal-shot shortcut.
Use the result to fix the setup
If you wanted a normal stop but selected a special moving shot, change that choice deliberately and retest. If the observed path still differs, keep the short reproduction for support. Do not turn a deliberate priority rule into a claim that Quickstop randomly fails.
