The short answer
Test the native stick cue separately from physical Square/X shooting. The supplied source filters the stick path to avoid treating long defensive or dribble holds as the same cue request.

- Record Release Vibrator, Vibrator MS, and the controller setup.
- Use a clean vertical Pro Stick shooting hold without the excluded modifiers.
- Record the cue and repeat separately from button-based trials.
Keep the stick motion clear
The source checks a strong vertical right-stick input with limited horizontal input and excludes L2/LT, R1/RB, and busy dribble or shooting states. A diagonal defensive hold is not the same test as the intended native shooting cue path.
Compare the cue, not two different shots
If you compare button and stick feedback, label them as separate input paths. Keep the cue setting fixed first. Do not mix their outcomes into a single result without noting that the player used different physical controls.
Capture enough context for support
Record which stick direction was held, the relevant buttons, the cue setting, and whether another mod was already running. If rumble is absent on all paths, investigate the controller feedback setup as well. This plan does not establish identical cue behavior across every controller model.
