Do not treat a stopped value as a frozen menu
At a minimum or maximum, another press in the same direction should not move beyond the allowed range. Test a press in the opposite direction before diagnosing a navigation problem. Keep the selected field visible so you do not confuse the two numeric ranges.
Separate range from recommendation
An allowed value is not automatically a sensible shooting setting. This check verifies the control’s bounds, not the best value for your player. Avoid running gameplay attempts at a boundary merely because the menu permits it.
Protect the working configuration
Use a documented test build if available and record the starting values outside the device. After the check, return to the intended build and mode and read the value again. The useful outcome is a verified menu behavior plus an intact setup, not a new performance claim.
