The short answer
On the numeric timing page, hold a documented modifier and make one D-pad change. Compare the before and after values to check the larger step without changing unrelated settings.

- Choose Auto Green MS and record its current mode and value.
- Hold L2/LT or R1/RB and make one up or down press.
- Release the modifier and confirm the displayed change.
Use a value with room to move
A boundary can clamp the value and make a ten-unit request appear smaller. Choose a starting point away from the minimum and maximum, and keep the direction of the change in your notes. Test only one modifier at a time so the input is easy to reproduce.
Return to a normal step for comparison
After the larger-step check, release the modifier and make one ordinary change. This gives you a simple two-part menu test: coarse adjustment, then fine adjustment. Do not change the shooting mode between the two without recording it.
Keep the test reversible
Restore the intended value, save it, and read it again in the same build. Larger steps are useful for navigation through values; they do not establish that a ten-millisecond gameplay adjustment is always appropriate. Choose actual shooting changes through a separate documented test.

Common questions
Does this apply to the named Rhythm Speed page?
No. That page selects presets rather than an editable MS number.
Why might the change be less at the limit?
The allowed range clamps the value.
