The short answer
Read the value before and after one normal D-pad adjustment on Auto Green MS. This verifies a menu step, not a one-millisecond gameplay advantage.

- Record the selected build, Auto-Green mode, and starting value.
- Make one up or down press with timing modifiers released.
- Read the new value and compare it with the starting value.
Keep the field away from a boundary
Use a value inside the allowed range so clamping does not hide the step. If you are already at the minimum and press down, no change is expected. Record the exact field as well: Vibrator MS and Rhythm Speed are not interchangeable with Auto Green MS.
Avoid accidental larger steps
Rift’s documented modifier changes numeric adjustment size. Make sure L2/LT and R1/RB are not being held during this small-step check. If the value jumps unexpectedly, observe those inputs before assuming the menu is skipping numbers.
Save and restore deliberately
Return the value to the intended setting and save through the documented route. Keep this check separate from a shooting comparison: confirming the step size only establishes what the menu changed. It does not show whether the new value fits your jumper.
